(Darren Entwistle speaking) I want to take this opportunity to
tell you once again how tremendously *unintelligible* I am at
the incredible display of support you have shown for this company,
our customers and to your teammates during the strike.
You have been an inspiration to me personally, and to the entire
leadership team throughout this period. We are honoured to be witness
to your courage and commitment and to uphold you amongst those who
possess a truly great strength and character.
Many of your teammates
have demonstrated the greatest degree of their courage to date,
and that is through
attending the meeting
and voting "yes" on the ballot in support of the collective
agreement. Your management teams and your teammates have relayed
the challenges you will likely face and I want to reiterate to you
my personal commitment that this organization will not tolerate any
harassment or intimidation upon return to work. During the meetings
attempts will likely be made to lessen your resolve to progress this
company towards the tremendous future we have in front of us.
Your teammates and leaders are supporting
your future and I know that the commitment and courage you have
shown for the past three
months will give you the strength to put this event in our company's
history behind us. TELUS is truly an exceptional company to work
for and it is through people like you that we will continue to explore
new opportunities for our customers, discover new areas of growth
we can not even envision today and deliver results for our shareholders.
I look forward to sharing with you a tremendous future for this
company and each other. You have my gratitude, my support and my
strongest respect.
Thank you very much.
