Course Applications, Convention and other Union Leave Requests

The new procedure for applying for course and other time off has become very muddled since TELUS has brought in a new process for getting UL (Union Leave) off.

Step 1: To apply for a TWU course, first go HERE and fill out all the information. then go to Step 2. Skip to Step 2 if you are NOT applying for a course.
Step 2: To apply for Convention or other UL only
• Go to My Tools on the Home Page
• Go to My HR Launch Pad
• Go to "Time Off for Union Business" (It's on the bottom lower right hand side)
• Click on that and put in your TID.
• There are only about 4 things you put in: Your TID, the dates you are requesting, the times requested and the reason.
• For the reason, it gives you a drop down box and you make your selection, ie. Convention, Education Course etc.

Remember that you must be logged on to the TELUS Intranet site to use it.
